How 2 holiday from home
Can’t afford to go away on holiday this year? Follow these tips to see how you can have a relaxing break from the comfort of your own home:
1. Book a week off work.
2. Think about how much money you will save by not booking travel and accommodation, and reward yourself a budget for the week.
3. Write a list of things in your area that you’ve always fancied doing but have never had the time to do, for example, a visit to the museum, a walk in the hills, a picnic in the park, breakfast in a café with a newspaper.
4. Write a list of your favourite relaxing activities, such as taking a bath, reading a good book, watching a film.
5. Then add a few treats, like going out for a meal, a trip to the cinema, etc.
6. Once you’ve thought about all these, draw up a plan of the things you would like to do each day of your week off. And remember, this is a holiday, so you’re not allowed to do any odd-jobs!
7. Tidy up so that your home is clutter free and as relaxing as possible for your week off.
8. Stock up on all your favourite foods.
And enjoy a leisurely holiday!
