Microwave Steam Pudding

Ingredients

5 oz Self-Raising Flour
Pinch of Salt
2 oz Caster Sugar
2 oz Margarine
1 egg
1/4 Pint of Milk
2 tablespoons of Jam or Golden Syrup
 

The words 'What you do...'

Sift flour and sugar together

Stir in sugar and margarine

Make a well in the middle and add the egg and milk.

Mix until soft dropping consistency

Get a round pudding basin and grease lightly

Add the jam or syrup to the bottom of the basin and add the mixture

Microwave for 5-6 minutes uncovered.  Turn upside down on a plate and serve
