Rating:

The looking at life forum is THE place to be. If you’re not there, you’re missing out. So here’s how to get involved.

Silouhette of a crowd
  1. Register – start at the beginning. Only the top section of the form is compulsory.
  2. Log in – if you’ve registered before, log in with your details. If you’ve forgotten your password, you can ask for a new one to be sent to you.
  3. Check out the board – browse through the categories and read topics that interest you.
  4. Join in – have your say! Respond to someone else’s message by hitting ‘post reply’ to carry on a conversation.
  5. Start a conversation – hit ‘new topic’ to start a new subject on anything you like! Try to put it in a category that makes sense, e.g. ‘what do you do when your housemate sits on your hamster?’ would belong in the ‘friends’ category.
  6. Comment on an article – click the ‘discuss’ button on the right hand side of the article on the website, and you’ll be transported to the relevant topic to have your say, and see how other people have responded.
  7. Can’t see a ‘discuss’ button? – if you want to discuss and article and can’t see the function, it’s because we haven’t set it up yet! Log in to the forum and set up a new topic using the name of the article, and get started anyway. As soon as we spot your topic on the forum, we’ll link it to the article with a ‘discuss’ button.
  8. Backchat – tell the bloggers what you think! Respond to the blogs by posting a topic in the ‘blog backchat’ section.
  9. Top tens – share your lists of ‘top tens’ – either reply to someone’s top ten with your own list, or start up a new one. How about ‘top ten taboo dinner party topics?’
  10. Keep us in the loop – We will be moderating the forums, but if you see anything you don’t like, or you think we should no about, please email us and let us know.
