Grieving the loss of a brother or sister?
A Weekend for Bereaved Siblings takes place 9-11 October at the modern Staverton Park Hotel in Daventry, where the full range of facilities will be available to you.
Over the weekend there will be:
• A chance to meet others in a similar situation
• Time to talk about your brother or sister
• A focus on your experience as a sibling
• Talks, discussions, workshops, time to chat over a coffee or in the bar
• Space to explore different issues, such as families, friends, emotions, faith and future plans
• A time of thanksgiving to celebrate the life of your brother or sister
Last year, people found the event to be very helpful. The highlight for one person was “to be able to think about my grief without worrying about the rest of my family.” Another appreciated “being able to tell the story of my brother - I don't really get to do that”. One person told us:
“It was much better than I expected! I liked the fact there was a relaxed atmosphere and everyone felt comfortable to talk or not to talk depending on how they felt.”
If you have lost a brother or sister, we would love to see you at A Weekend for Bereaved Siblings. If you are the partner of someone who has lost a sibling and you want to join them on the weekend, you are very welcome. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to bring babies or children with you, as we don’t have the facilities to accommodate this. (Please note that the weekend is for age 18+ only). This event will run alongside A Weekend for Bereaved Parents. If you are coming with parents who are attending this event please let us know this when you book.
Whether you come with your parents or on your own, you’ll find a warm welcome and a place of safety with people who understand, because they’ve been there too.

Cost per person: £120.00. Price includes accommodation, all meals and refreshments (excluding bar).
Registration from 5pm onwards Friday 9 October with welcome and introductory session at 7pm, followed by dinner. The weekend will finish after lunch on Sunday 11 October.
We regret event fees cannot be refunded.
