Sicknotes

Well I've been ill with a virus for a couple of weeks and am now on the road to recovery. But one thing which isn't helpful in my recuperation is arriving in work after a couple of weeks off to find over 100 emails waiting for me. Talk about making you want to go and have a lie down...

The funny emails are all the panicky ones from two weeks ago when news obviously hadn't filtered out that I was off. "Where are we with the xyz project?" "Can I have a status update on the beta test?" "Why aren't you answering my emails?!?"

Now, two weeks on, all those urgent emails are irrelevant. Which goes to show that perhaps all the important things people stress about aren't as important after all.
