Working Christmas

Normally I schedule my Chrimbo so that I get a few days off before the big 25th. Hey, I’m a guy and I have to do my shopping sometime!

But this year, due to a variety of other commitments, I haven’t been able to schedule any time off, so I’ve got work on until Christmas Eve. The office I’m in today has just about everyone in, because they’ve all been unable to wangle leave too. But everyone seems to be in high spirits - there’s plenty of joking around and general cheer.

But of course we’ll all be off for Christmas Day. I’m not sure how festive the mood would be if we weren’t. I know some people (medics and the like) who have to work all the way through the Christmas season. If that’s you all I can say is I hope you have a quiet shift and can find the time to have some fun.

This blog will return in ’09. Until then, stay safe and have a good time.
