The big Christmas take down
Maybe I'm the only one who feels this way, but I always feel a bit sad when the Christmas tree and the tinsel come down on 6 January. Everything seems a bit mundane (and dusty!) and, of course, there are always loads of pine needles to hoover up. Man, those are stubborn little things, aren't they, hooking into the carpet and resisting all efforts to get rid of them.
I know some people go a huge bundle on New Year - throwing parties, making resolutions and the like. But I prefer Christmas and putting away all the accoutrements signals the end of the season. Ho hum, guess I'll just have to start loooking forward to next Chrimbo!
Meanwhile, if you've got a fabulous way to get rid of pine needles, do let me know. That's what the Looking at Life forums are for!
