The conversation had turned to playing musical instruments in school and my friend said "I found the trumpet okay, but I had real difficulty playing the cornet."
"I used to play the cornet," I said.
"Really?"
"Yeah, but then mum told me to eat my ice cream properly or I wouldn't ever be allowed another one."
Sometimes you have to find the jokes, and sometimes they find you.
