Croupiers are dispensable
Apparently house prices in Las Vegas are in freefall. With the global recession, fewer people are going a'gamblin', casinos and hotels are laying off staff, and so Las Vegans are moving away in search of work.
The entertainment industry is notoriously dependent on economics. Ditto tourism. Jobs which are a luxury are always the first to be hit. So here's Kev K' s big tip if you're the kind of person who wants job security and you're considering a career - go for one that's necessary. We'll always need doctors, teachers, firemen and plumbers.
But having said that, maybe a bit of Vegas glam is what you're looking for. In which case, remember to save something for that rainy recession day.
