Sunshine in February
I spent the last weekend in February at the beach. People told me I was mad to go in February. Many of my so-called friends relished telling me how atrocious the weather forecasts were. One even predicted I would need to call out the coastguard.
But the weathermen were wrong.
In fact, I had better weather in February than I had at the exact same beach back in July, when we had perpetual rain and the sea made me feel sea-sick just looking at it. Boating was out. I spent most of that weekend wishing I was in the office.
So, sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and give something a try. It was a risk going to the beach in February – there’s no denying that. But the slight redness of my nose and cheeks today is testament that we most definitely had some sunshine.
