The wisdom of Yoda
I realised the other day that pretty much all my major opinions on life have been subconsciously acquired from watching the Star Wars movies. And by that I mean the original three movies from the late 70s/early 80s that I watched over and over as a kid.
So, here are some life principles I gleaned from a galaxy far, far away…
If money is all you care about, then that’s all you’ll get.
You should never judge a person’s ability on their size.
However terrifying technology gets, it is insignificant compared to the power of the force (thank you Darth Vader for that one).
The dark side is quicker, easier, more seductive.
Sometimes you have to shoot first, but it’s good form to apologise afterwards and leave a tip.
Don’t make deals with evil people. They tend to change the terms frequently, and your deal will get worse all the time.
If you have a bad feeling about something, then watch out.
Pretty much everything in life can be fixed by R2-D2. We should get the boffins in our galaxy working on building one!
Whatever you’ve done in life, there is hope of redemption. Especially if you get a chance to throw a Dark Lord of the Sith down a lift shaft into a nuclear reactor.
