Surprises

If anyone had trouble getting on to the site this morning, you'll  be happy to know the pesky problem has been fixed. So a big thank you to our great IT people here. We don't expect any more troublesome suprises.

Talking of  problems, I've been chatting to quite a few people this week who are struggling with their finances. As Christmas approaches they are pulling out the credit cards and pacing the highstreet whilst quietly worrying about their overdrafts and the media's forcast increase to  mortgage rates...

With the cost of borrowing going up, now is a good time to get real about what we can afford and what we can't. This Christmas I am not going to buy everyone what they've always wanted- and my presents won't be the best under the tree. But I'll be a little less in debt in January.
