I got some really fantastic post this week.

• Council tax letter
• Student loans statement
• Bank balance

Taken together, that is a BAD mix. I get paid tomorrow so I know i'm not going to die or go bankrupt or anything, but I also know that'll take me just above zero... uhoh!

I've been reading some stuff on the site about money, budgeting, saving, debt and all that. And I reckon I'm gonna have to do it. After reading Chris Tapp's article I thought about going cash only but I'm too scared. I also thought about making a note of everything I spend but I'm too lazy...

This Saturday is BUY NOTHING DAY. Taking inspiration from that, I've been having a 'buy nothing week' - it's only wednesday, but I've discovered that making sandwiches at home actually saves a lot! Thing is, I know I could get through a week without spending, it's just that I would owe my partner quite a bit of cash. Hmm, I'll think again...
