Back to earth with a bump

I’ve just returned from a glorious 12 days with the future Mr. Biccy’s family, who live in Dubai. Over the holiday it was great to get to know my in-laws better, hang out with a very entertaining three-and-three-quarter year old nephew, relax in the sun, lie by the pool, and read a grand total of three whole books. Holidays are brilliant.

If landing in Heathrow at zero degrees wasn’t enough of a shock, going back to work certainly did the trick! Having had a complete break and forgotten all about the daily pressures that keep my adrenaline pumping, an innocent diary check was enough to bring me back to earth with a bump. I feel like I’m busy for the next four months straight!

Outside of my regular jobs, I’m anticipating a lot of evenings filled with chores, preparation and major decision-making. So in the near future you can look forward to reading about Vicky Biccy’s adventures in… buying my first car, negotiating the world of tax, buying house insurance, setting up a joint account, organising a wedding, hunting out cheap energy suppliers, applying for grants, moving house, and so on. And on. And on and on.

I hope that the diary of my trials and errors will be somehow helpful to you. In the very least, you can have a good laugh.
