Real life friends

I seem to spend a lot of my time watching ‘Friends’. I’m amazed that it still holds my attention, even when I have seen the episode six times and I can reel off the next line before Phoebe opens her mouth. I wouldn’t say I’m a big fan, it just happens to be on telly a lot. But it's nice to zone out after a long day at work and slip into someone else’s world. The sad thing is; I probably know more about the characters on the show than I do about some of my real life friends!

Tonight I’m going out for coffee with a school friend who I haven’t seen for a year. This weekend I’ll catch up with my sister. I think the last time I spoke to her was at Christmas! I have in my head a list of friends to contact, and it seems that every day I think of someone else that I haven’t spoken to in a while. Maybe next time ‘Friends’ comes on the telly, I’ll turn it off, pick up the phone, and catch up with some friends of my own.
