Break time

I’ve got some time off work next week, and I’m going to see my family. My parents live in a peaceful seaside village, which in half term transforms itself into a playground for half the nation’s children. I forgot it would be half term when I planned my break. I guess I’ll have to go further afield to get to the quiet places.

I think you can tell a lot about people from what the way they spend their leisure time. Some people book time off work to catch up with things around the house, catch up with people, or catch up on TV. Some people take time off work and then… work, on other projects. People with kids will probably use the opportunity to spend time doing fun things as a family, building memories, relaxing together.

I’m determined to do as little as possible next week. My priority is… rest. I want to hang out in the great outdoors, curl up on the sofa with endless cups of tea, chat with family and friends, and forget all about my to-do list.
