Running for families
I hate running. In fact, just running up the stairs can tire me out! So I have a lot of respect for people who voluntarily run long distances, especially if the whole point is to raise money for a good cause.
This weekend, ten people from Care for the Family will be running 13 miles in the Cardiff Half Marathon. “Why are they putting themselves through this?” I hear you cry. Well, let me tell you.
Care for the family is passionate about supporting all kinds of families, whether they are loving family life or finding it tough right now. In fact, they directly support over 100,000 families every year in the UK. Half of the money raised from this event will be used to support more families through the events, resources, training and free support networks that Care for the Family offers.
The other half of the money will go to Ty Hafan, a children’s hospice in Cardiff that is doing incredible things for families whose children have life-limiting conditions.
Would you like to make donation and support these brave runners, while supporting countless families around the UK at the same time? If you do, please go to the ‘Just Giving’ page to make a donation online.
Cheers.
